Pilates & Clinical Exercise

Are you recovering from low back pain or a sports injury? Rehabilitating following a surgery or after a fall? Flex physiotherapists can tailor a specific exercise programme to meet your individual needs. Utilising both our state-of-the-art Pilates equipment and fully equipped rehabilitation gym, we are able to provide both individual 1:1 workouts and various group classes suitable for all ages, fitness levels and body types.

Our current classes include Flex FIT (Pilates and Clinical Exercise), Flex FIT (Child Friendly), Senior FIT and GLA:D arthritis classes. Normal health insurance rebates generally apply for these group sessions. A 40min one on one assessment consultation is required with one of our physiotherapists prior to commencing these classes where they will create an individualised program specific to your needs.

Our Fitness, Youth Development and Runners Pilates sessions are the most recent additions to our repertoire of classes. Something a little different to our normal clinical exercise programmes, these classes are targeted for those wanting a more fitness or prevention focus. A 20min GAP FREE assessment is required if you wish to claim private health insurance for these classes.

Flex FIT

Our clinical exercise classes combine both our Pilates and gym-based equipment to maximise your recovery and rehabilitation, or to focus on a particular problem area and prevent recurrence of injury. A one on one assessment consultation is required with one of our physiotherapists prior to commencing our Flex FIT classes.

Senior FIT

With a focus on strength, balance & control, these sessions are designed for our older clients utilising bands, Pilates and strength-based equipment. A one on one assessment consultation is required with one of our physiotherapists prior to commencing our Senior FIT classes.

GLA:D

Suffering from hip or knee osteoarthritis? Would you like less pain, less medication and a better quality of life? The GLA:D programme run at Flex is considered the first line of treatment in the management of these problems. Learn more about GLA:D. Mums & Bumps/Flex FIT

Our clinical exercise classes combine both our Pilates and gym-based equipment to maximise your recovery and rehabilitation, or to focus on a particular problem area and prevent recurrence of injury. These classes are open to anyone, but babies and toddlers are welcome. A one on one assessment consultation is required with one of our physiotherapists prior to commencing our Mums and Bumps/Flex FIT (child Friendly classes).

Runner Pilates

Keen to improve your running form and efficiency? Targeting the core and lower limb muscles that are so critical to running, our physios will have you working hard to get the best out of those miles on the road, track or trails! Please contact reception to make a booking.

Youth Development Pilates

Helping to build healthy, capable and resilient young athletes, these classes provide the foundations for injury prevention and improved athletic performance. By focusing on movement patterning and motor control, we can provide the base for more advanced strength and conditioning as the athlete develops. Please contact reception to make a booking.

Fitness Pilates

Just need a good hard work out to challenge your muscles and push your general fitness? Fitness Pilates is mix of strength and high intensity exercise featuring the Pilates Reformer. This class is designed to challenge your strength and stability with a flowing set of exercises which create that Pilates burn.
